More on "It's official"

So I know everyone wants to know all of the information and what has been happening lately! I will try to do my best, here it goes...

Our court date was March 16 and although we didn't pass on the 16th God is good and was with us. Thanks again for all of the prayers! I know they were answered. On the 16th the judge left our court case open as they were only requesting 1 additional document. Mary said that it is unheard of to have a case left open. Our baby was abandoned and normally a letter from the police will be sufficient proof. For our case they decided they wanted an additional letter from the head of Ethiopia. They also said they would take a faxed document which Mary says never happens. We were supposed to hear something two days later. So the next day they had power outages in Ethiopia. Someone from Gladney decided to get the document themselves. So we were told to wait a few more days. They drove and got the document but did not make it back in time to give to MOWA. So we were told to wait another two days. The next follow up MOWA was backlogged and couldn't get to our case... and so it continued every two days. Yesterday we didn't get a follow up and were bracing ourselves not to get through. When Mary said we got through I was shocked. I had braced myself for the worst and we got the best! Praise God for His hand was in this the entire time.

About our baby: His name is Nataga/Nathan. What happened is when he was found he was named Nathan, however his paperwork was mis-read and so he became Nataga. We are naming him "K" but aren't going to post his whole name as his name is unique and we would like it to stay that way. The other names we had liked became suddenly popular and we wanted a unique name. His name will be K Nathaniel. We like it b/c Nathaniel means Gift of God and that is truely what he is. We love Nataga and wil use it as a nickname.

It's Official

We are now the parents of Nataga! Mary called today and let us know we made it through court this time. I will write offical details later (I'm at work right now). Just wanted to post this update. Pictures, more info, etc. to follow!

My friend sent me pictures of what it looked like outside for her today. Blizzard! Got to love the North! We of course had weather in the 80's.

Another Boy

We were so excited. Early this month we recieved news that we had a new nephew! I was waiting to post until I could put a picture on with my post... but I haven't been able to get my hands on one yet. Soon hopefuly! Levi was born March 10th. We're so happy to have another great nephew!

About our timeframe, we are still in limbo. Todays news was nothing new. We were told to just keep waiting. Were hoping for some good news but as of right now were just waiting.

Still hope

We are still holding on as there are some things in the works. We feel like getting through court is in our grasp and as we reach for it, it is pulled away every time. We won't have any news for a few days but are hoping to have some news to post soon. There is a chance it might be really good news. Thanks for checking in. Please continue to pray. We'll do our best to keep you updated.

No Go.

We did not pass court today. However, God has something in the works and I have not given up faith. God will provide in His time. Every good and perfect work comes from above so please keep praying, I know that God hears everyones prayers. Soon K will be our son forever, today was not that day. Thanks everyone, again, for your prayers. We appreciate it.

So Close

I guess in less than three short days we'll find out if "K" is ours forever or if we have to wait for more/another court date(s). We are relying on God and putting our trust and faith in Him. We know our chances of making it through court the first time are slim, but He who can part the waters of the Red Sea can also get us through this. We also know that everything happens in Gods time and if we don't make it through, we will just wait longer. I can't say I won't be disappointed but I know that Gods time is the best. Please continue to pray that our court date is heard and that we do make it through this first time. We appreciate everyone who has prayed on our behalf and we can't wait until "K" is ours forever!
