Revive w/Nataga

 

 

This past week we went took the babies to their first concert! We did it right, we saw christian bands: Hawk Nelson and Revive. I've been a Hawk Nelson fan for a long time and when we heard Revive was also going to be playing it was a no brainer. Plus the concert was free so it was win-win. Anyway Nataga is a HUGE Revive fan and loved hearing them live. I was surprised by them as they are one bad that's even better in person than on their CD (I've seen a few bands that sound horrible and NOTHING like their CD) and their CD is really good! After they got done playing, David manned our stuff and I took Nati over to meet them and they all passed him around. He ate it up! Of course I had to get pictures. The band was very nice, I was surprised by how personable they were. They all seemed like really great guys. One of the members and I talked about adoption, he had a baby on the way so that was neat to hear also. I coudln't say enough about how glad we are to have been able to adopt and I hope he and his wife get to adopt some day! Anyway if you ever get the chance to go to one of their concerts- do, they put on a good show!

Handsome boys!

I was surprised this weekend by a visit from my family! Nati's cousin, Henok visited with his friend Dawit and my nieces and nephews came down as well (but don't like to have their pictures posted).

A week or so ago David, Nati, and I were all out for a walk and were a couple of blocks away from our house. A lady came running out of her house yelling "Wait! He is Ethiopian." She is also Ethiopian and has the cutest twin boys! We have become friends w/her and took Henok and Dawit to meet her family. They all hit it off. We're planning another get together when we have more time! I also think I heard something about roasting a lamb in the future!!! Yum!

What a handsome trio! Watch out ladies I'm sure they are heart breakers ;)! Also I think we need got get Nati a pair of camo pants. He seems to be impressed by Henok's!

I had to include this "serious" picture. When Nati is concentrating he gets this face out. I have had lots of people comment on how mad he looks... this is a face of concentration!

Another Nataga Saying

Tonight when we were looking through Nati's books he was telling me the animal that was on each page (his favorite thing to do right now). When we got to the pig he said "Pork"! My response- "Not yet"... As usual I'm not sure where he got it from but I thought it was cute and funny.
