We dressed Nataga up for chruch Sunday. He looked so cute! The hat was made by my grandmother for my uncle so it was very neat and special that it fit him!

Things I love:

My husband is the greatest dad, even better than I could have expected. He and Nataga bonded even before Nataga and I did. If I can’t get Nataga to go to sleep I hand him to his daddy. He loves him!

Nataga is such a happy baby and always a crowd pleaser. It is a rare trip when we go somewhere and don’t have a crowd around us and our baby (it has happened once) b/c he is so happy and cute!

When Nataga is hungry it is almost instantaneous. I love it b/c that is how I am and I can tell when he is hungry b/c he looks like I feel when I get hungry. He screams for a few seconds until we get the bottle in his mouth (we keep those close by and handy). But we never mistake hungry for other things.

Nataga loves to have a blanket to sleep with. He is so cute and snuggles in once you hand him one! Our dog keeps a close watch on him just incase  he wakes up etc!

Nataga can say “Hi” and does to almost everyone. He smiles if you say “mommy” and “daddy” but is still working on those.

He sucks his thumb and is teething right now. He loves fingers or anything else he can shove in his mouth and rub his gums on.

He just started eating “regular” food and prefers peas, potatoes, carrots, etc. to any other food. So far the apples have been to sweet for him and he wasn’t a fan!

He loves his puppy mobile. We will wind it up and he looks amazed by it all of the time. It is so cute. He can watch it for long periods of time.

He also loves his bouncer. He looks like he is going to fly out of the thing b/c he gets so carried away and so excited bouncing. He giggles and the sound fills the house.

We woke up the other day to him giggling in his crib. If someone told me that I wouldn’t mind waking up at 5AM (after waking up a few other times during the night) I would have laughed in their face. Now it’s a joy to wake up that early to his smiling face!

I LOVE that he is small and also very healthy! I was not expecting to have a baby who only wears 0-3 mo. clothing at 7 mo. I LOVE it! I know it won’t last long but he is so cute in all of his tiny outfits.

Nataga is learning to crawl. He bounces back and fourth and gets angry that he cannot stand. He sat up on his own for the first time yesterday. It was awesome!

Lastly I love being a mom. I have a wonderful husband and baby. Life is great!

I wanted to write some but I am SO tired- STILL- so how about some pictures? I never understood why I didn't hear anything on blogs after a family made it through court (until they got back to the US). I do now. It is non stop even now! Enjoy these! For those of you who asked us to take pictures you should have got a few by now! Let me know if you didn't for whatever reason!

 

 

 

 

We're back

We are back! What a trip- it was a good one! For everyone who asked us to take pictures, we have them and will send them as soon as we can (we know you are dying to see them)! We are exhausted but doing well. Our son is even cuter in person than in the pictures. There is no way to even begin to show how cute he is in pictures, you have to see him in person! He is happy go lucky with the best personality. We love him to death and are enjoying being parents SO much! I just watned to post that we are back and will write more when things slow down a bit!

Nataga's Update

I love his face and can't wait to get him out of pink and into some blue or green clothes!

This is what our update said:
"Nataga is a happy little guy. When I came to visit him today, as soon as
he saw me reach out to pick him up he gave me a big smile. He loves to hold
on to things... fingers, pens, his toes, ... Nataga is friendly with
everyone. I had some friends helping me with the updates, and he was happy
to have everyone hold him. He laughed a lot and gaves us some laughs too."

I can't wait to spend time with him and hold him!
