Movin' on up!

Today Nataga officially made it to 6-9 months clothing size, this is a huge accomplishment for us! I can't wait to find out what percentile on the CDC growth chart he is in now! We were joking around asking him what he thought of his new clothes... check out the last picture for his response!

I love these pictures and they are even more special b/c of who gave us this towel! We got this in the mail a few weeks back and it was so neat to get. My blog friend Jen and ALL of her family hooked us up. We got to meet her sweet daughter while in ET and fell in love with her. Jen and I talked all of the time before we went there and it was a treat to meet her daughter in person and take pictures. She has a great family and I can't wait to see everyone united. Her daughter is going to fit right in! We are praying and have our fingers crossed that she will get a new court date soon. Thanks Jen! Nataga loves his towel!

Okay now I know your looking at the pictures and wondering a few things: No, I didn't make my bed that day. Oops! Seriously I usually make it, we were just running behind. Also I had just taken his hand and foot prints b/c I knew I was going to give him a bath but apparently the ink doesn't come off after just one washing hence the purple hands! Lastly Yes, I edited out his name on the towel so all you can see is the "Ka". His whole name is monogrammed on it and is so cute! Yes! He now has two teeth. He is growing up fast and looks more and more like a little boy each day. His hair is really coming in too. I can't believe how much he has changed!

Crib Recall

 

 

Nataga thinks it is a hit b/c he can hold on to the sides and walk around!

We got to pick up our crib this week! Yeah, no more pack-n-play! When we went to Babies R'Us to get it the guy at the cash register had the nerve to say "You were one of the lucky families with the crib that was recalled". I wanted to slap him. Yes, we just got our son in time for him to get used to his crib and then it was recalled. Due to the recall Babies R'Us was out of cribs. So he got to sleep in a pack-n-play. We had to take his old crib apart to send in the hardware for our voucher for the new crib. We were told we could buy a crib and then have our money refunded. We found a crib, it was on back order. We went around the store and picked crib by crib to find that all of their cribs were on back order :)! So we had wait weeks for the crib to come in too. Luckily the voucher came in the same day we got the call that his crib was in so we didn't have to pay anything! We are just glad to have a crib!

Surprise!

 

Our church family threw us a surprise "welcome home K" shower today! They had been going to do it for a long time now but didn't know what the best date would be. They just decided on one and today was it! We had LOTS of fun! David had to work so he missed it :(! We have a really great congregation and Nataga is so well loved there. We are blessed beyond measure and love our church family.

 

Nataga loved his gifts and we received SO much stuff!

Nataga went to his first graduation tonight. We took this picture when we got home! I loved hearing those around us as they said "Look at that cute baby, oh that is the cutest baby I've seen, you HAVE to look at the cute baby they have, etc" as the event was starting. He gets lots of attention wherever he goes. We are so proud of him and proud he is ours. We often have people say how blessed he is, but we don't feel that way. We have been blessed by HIM beyond measure and he is our gift from God (the meaning of his name). We are so lucky and coudln't have asked for a better baby. We pray/ed often for him and our prayers were answered above and beyond anything we could have expeceted. We have so much fun playing with him, loving him, and sharing our lives. Motherhood could not get much better!

Graduation itself was really good! I love working at a High School. It is really neat to see the kids grow up and graduate. We have excellent senior classes and it is always an honor to watch them as they get ready to take the next steps in their lives. This year was not any different. It is hard to watch them go across the stage b/c you know you won't see them as often but it is always fun to see the smiles on their faces and when they come back, hear what they are doing with their lives! Congrats. class of '09!

OH and here is a picture of him walking. It is hard to tell but he does really well and likes to hold on to a finger as he goes!
