We've done it! As of January we are officially on the wait list!!! We're waiting for our daughter (and possibly a sibling) from Ethiopia! It'll be a long wait but we're excited!

An Update

We now have our completed homestudy, went to Gladney training for those adopting older children, and had our CIS fingerprints taken! Now all that's left is getting the prints back, sending our packet off to be authenticated, translated, and given to MOWA! We'll be on the wait list soon! Can't wait! But... until that time I have two wonderful boys who keep me more then busy! 

We are currently waiting for our homestudy to be finished (the lady who did it has been on vacation) and then our USCIS finger print appointment should be scheduled soon. Our house sold just in time and we no longer have that holding us back!

Where are we?

I feel like we're in a Where's Waldo book just waiting for someone to figure out where we are. We've been stuck on the same page for a little while. We're waiting for our home study, waiting for reference letters (our second set), and waiting for CIS fingerprints. BUT most of all we're waiting for our house to sell. It's been going to sell for months, yes literally months, now. We were told we'd close a while back, then last month, then today, and now we are still waiting for a closing date. Things with the homestudy can't move until our house sells and CIS can't be requested until our homestudy is completed. We have had two houses for close to three years now. No we're not moving, just waiting for a sale.
