Some pictures from today

What a handsome boy!

 

I squatted down to take the picture, he decided he needed to also!

 

When I asked him what he was doing, this was his response!

 

Nataga turned 19 months a few days ago! He is still cutting teeth like crazy. He is in the 3rd-5th percentile for weight but his head is in the 75th percentile (for that big brain of his) and his feet are a size 7 going on 8. I am hoping that baby feet work something like dog feet and maybe this means he'll be tall!? If so, he get's his height from me! ;)

Since we moved we have had 0-1 bar when we tried to connect to the internet. It was SUCH a pain and we couldn't do anything/get anything done. Yesterday David realized that his cell phone dropped its signal (in the room we had the computer in) just by walking in the door. So we moved our computer up stairs and as slow as the computer was before, it is at least that fast if not a bit faster!

Also, I posted 4 other posts today from a trip we took in January. I unearthed our disk when I unpacked one of our boxes (nope, we're still not done unpacking). I knew we had taken a lot of pictures and couldn't figure out where they had went. Maybe there are some good things about packing everything up and hauling it from one place to another! Some old pictures

I came across some pictures from this Jan. of our trip to the Hill Country! It was so much fun!

Nataga really wanted to get in the stream and kept running towards it. It made us both a quite nervous as the water runs really fast in some places and it was SO cold. After many times of telling him the water was cold and he wouldn't like it, we decided to give in and let him find out for himself.

He had tears for a LONG time after. He kept acting like he couldn't believe we "MADE" him put his feet in the water! Once he got a piggy back ride, he was all smiles a few seconds later!

We worked on skipping rocks.

 

I got one across the stream (on my 1000th try) and got a hug for it!

 

Nati was SO tired from all of the playing but was scared of our hotel room. Sometimes when we go new places he is still unsure of things so some snuggle time with daddy and he was OUT for the night!

Behold the power of the rock!

 

We'd been working on "The wise man built his house upon the rock" song around this time. He was VERY impressed when he was surrounded by so many rocks- since they ARE in the song we sing. How do you explain to a 14 month old that this is not the rock we had been singing about? Oh well! He'll understand some day! He still sang the song and had a great time scooping up rocks!

This is very typical of Nataga! He always has some funny pose, gesture, you name it... that he likes to entertain us with. Makes life fun.

A Citizen

Nataga officially became a US citizen today (he has been a permanent alien)!!! Yeah! We sent in his paperwork MONTHS ago (at least 9) and received his certificate today! We were beginning to worry that our paperwork had been lost or misplaced... Our mailman came to the door with an envelope that we had to sign for. When we saw the return address we were hoping that is what it was, and it was! Exciting stuff!
