Could it be?

Today I logged on and discovered that another family had received a referral! I had been hoping for this for them. It also gave me the realization that we are next in line to receive a referral for a boy and 9th for a girl. Wow! I also read recently that referrals tend to come on Fridays and so I became even more excited at the possibility that today could be THE DAY! I e-mailed Mary with more phone numbers that they could reach us at, just incase, and got a reply within seconds. Excitedly I waited for it to load to know what it said. It was an out of office reply… I guess the referral isn’t coming today.

The verse of the day off of biblegateway.com:
Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.

I think it's speaking to me! :)

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I got an out of office response from Natalie. I cried. Pathetic, I know. :( I'm getting so antsy. I'm just ready to see her face.

I left my cellphone at home today accidently and I've been freaking out all day that she's going to call and I won't be able to answer.

I think this could be the day... I voted for it :). BUT, if it's not, just know that it will happen!!! There is perfect timing going on behind the scenes... I promise!!!

soon...soon. It will happen soon. Your life will take on hyper speed then, so enjoy a lazy weekend. I am thinking Wednesday.

I can't wait for you to get your referral! If it does tend to happen on Friday's and you get it next week, then my prediction will come true :) However, I definitely hope you get your referral sooner than next Friday. Oh, what a blessing your baby will be!

These are things that get put on hold when would have a foster baby in the house:

Reading long good books (magazines and newspaper are all I have time for with a baby in the house)
Watching or going to movies.
Exercise classes.
Museum trips.
Manicures (a waste when you wash your hands as much as you do with a baby).
Long soaks in the bath tub (given up for watching baby play in the bath tub).
Romantic dinner out or in.
Sleeping in.

I try to think of these things when I start getting impatient. Then, I treat myself to one of these things that I will gladly give up for the smell and smiles of a new little being.

I can't wait for you to "meet" your new little one.

Soon! You are almost there! It must feel so good to be so close to seeing his/her face. :) Hang in there!

I became attached to my phone right up until the rainy season started. I haven't jumped at every ring of the phone. (O:
I'm sure that will change on Friday!

oh MAN! That's harsh! Just be sure you don't tie up the phone lines! Mary had been trying to reach me for several hours to say we'd passed court but friends and family were calling nonstop. She couldn't get through!
